On Tuesday, February 17th, from 5pm - 6:30pm we will be having a pancake dinner at the church building. Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, is the day before Lent begins.
Traditionally, during Lent, Christians would give up rich, tasty foods such as butter, eggs, sugar and fat. Shrove Tuesday was their last chance to indulge, and it was also a way for them to use up their supplies. Lent, which starts on Ash Wednesday, is a period of reflection and preparation for Easter Celebrations!
So come and join us for a pancake or two!
