Everything that exists has a starting point.  Everything has a beginning.  Every person, every idea, every journey starts somewhere.  Whether it's a small step in a new direction or a major event, but from that point forward nothing is ever the same.

Faith or belief has a starting point too.  For some that may have been early on as we inherited a religious worldview from parents or a Sunday school teacher, pastor, priest or other religious leader.   Or we began to put together a structure or framework for our faith from what we heard about God in church, a temple, mosque or media.

But something happens when our childhood or inherited faith meets the real world and often it doesn’t stand up so well to the rigours of adult life.  It becomes difficult to reconcile a good God with what we see and experience in the world and our faith gets chipped away to irrelevancy and we feel stranded or stuck.  There’s a gap between our faith and what we experience in the world.  Maybe because most everything around us matured while our view of God, didn’t?

With that in mind - for the next few weeks during our Sunday gathering we’re asking the question - What is the adult starting point for faith?  What if we had never been to church or had any religious background - where would adult faith begin?

This is a great series that will challenge and encourage you if you've found your faith irrelevent or if you're curious about the Christian faith or even if you're more established in your faith in Jesus!
