Deep down inside, even if we can’t explain it, we all yearn to be connected to a BIGGER story, to have our lives make a difference and be connected to something more. That’s because our lives are all actually part of a much, much larger story. There is an epic and true story that our stories are caught up in and - will ultimately find their place in.
It’s the story of God - found in the bible. It’s THE story in which our personal stories are redeemed and healed and find completion in. This story is actually the true story that informs The Gospel.
Our life story, and all of the little pieces that make it up, actually follow the same pattern found in God’s story throughout the Bible: CREATION ➜ FALL ➜ REDEMPTION ➜ RESTORATION and becoming fluent in the Good News of Jesus means being able to relate that story to our life circumstances and the lives of others. Becoming fluent in the Good News of Jesus means needs language that is shaped by THE Gospel Story.
