In our attempt to get the most out of life we try to squeeze so much into our schedules and finances and it takes a toll emotionally because we trade peace for progress or prosperity.  The question is why?  Why do we try to squeeze so much in?  Where there’s so little margin it's our relationships that get squeezed out and suffer.

Stephen Covey taught that you can aim for efficiency in many things but you cannot approach relationships that way.  Relationships thrive when there is Room to Breathe and they stagnate without it.

Having Room to Breathe is actually a question of faith - are we able to trust God with meeting our need for significance and worth so that we can make time for the people who matter the most?  How can faith in Jesus help us honour what's primary rather than temporary?
