Think about when you have been the happiest … most likely it wasn’t the things you were surrounded with that brought you happiness - it was the people you were with. Happiness is about who, not what. Happiness isn't possessional - it's relational.
If you really think about it - happiness isn’t a thing either - it’s an outcome. Happiness is about peace. Happy people are at peace. Specifically happy people are at peace with God, others, and themselves. Things don’t bring peace. Things are temporary - not ultimates. They’re often substitutes for a lack of peace.
